Partner Game:

In Connect 6, students take turns drawing cards with fill-in-the-blank sentences. Students must use their knowledge of unaccented syllables to complete the sentence and cover the missing word on the game board.

Independent Activity:

In Four In A Row, students spin a spinner for a beginning syllable (a- or be-) then find an incomplete word on the game board. Students complete the word by building it with letter tiles (optional) and recording it on their recording sheet. Their goal is to combine word parts to cover four words in a row (vertically, horizontally, or diagonally).
