Put your students love of snow and snowmen to work with this Snowman PERSONALITIES vocabulary and winter writing project! While your students expand their vocabulary, they will have a merry time developing a snowman character and writing creative stories with this SNOWMAN PERSONALITIES writing project.
Students engage in vocabulary learning synonym/antonym using the Frayer Model and other graphic organizers. After students study their adjective deeply, they write a creative story about a snowman who has that trait.
Want to take their creativity to the next level? Have students create a 3D snowman with styrofoam balls, modeling clay, paper plates (or simply print the snowman template I've included onto cardstock). I've included suggestions and resources for a culminating writing celebration and follow up literacy center/station activities. Just grab the hot cocoa and candy canes to turn this into a low prep winter celebration! NOTE: This resources is included in the Holiday Writing Activities for Upper Elementary Bundle.
